InactiveFreesat HDR 100S 500GB
I’ve been unable to record from EPG, either single or series. I can press the record button and it records. It seems to have started about 2 weeks ago but only occasionally but now it’s a no go. I set the programmes to record via EPG but it doesn’t record and comes up as ‘failed’.
I’ve unplugged for a few minutes, cleaned out old timings, only used 43% HDD. I don’t want to do a reset as there lots of series I’ve yet to watch.
Any advise please would be appreciated.

Doing a reset to defaults will not delete existing recordings but you will need to redo the schedule of future recordings.

InactiveSimilar problem with my HDR Foxsats – Freesat doesn’t seem to be transmitting the info/code that allows Accurate Recording to work. I changed to ‘padded’ recordings, i.e +/- 5mins, and that at least started recording. Have rescheduled my recordings for this evening so will report back later.

InactiveHaving same problem. Recorded programmes haven’t recorded today. So annoying. Hopefully it’ll get fixed soon.

InactiveAll 8pm recordings have started (@ 7:55pm with +/- 5min padding).

InactiveWhat is the +/- 5 min padding, don’t seem to have that function on mine?

InactiveOn my Foxsat it’s :
Menu / Settings / Recording Start Time & End Time
Options are Auto, 1 min, 2 mins, 3 mins or 5mins

InactiveFor HDR-1000s / 1010s
Home / Settings / General Settings / Recording / Start Padding & End Padding
Options are Auto, 2 mins, 5 mins, 10 mins

InactiveGreat thanks. Will have a look tomorrow. Cheers

InactiveSetting Start and End Padding to other than Auto disables accurate record.
Not all channels use accurate record.

InactiveStupid question. If you use the +/- option does this mean that if you are watching two programmes one after the other that the second one will record as well?

InactiveMy recording schedule for last night:
Lewis (ITV3) 20:00 – 22:00 Recorded: 19:55 – 22:00
Foyle’s War (ITV3) 22:00 – 00:00 Recorded: 22:00 – 00:05
Taggart (Drama) 23:20 – 02:25 Recorded: 23:15 – 02:30
Consecutive recordings on the same channel will pad at the beginning and end of the whole session.

Same here. The problem started yesterday for me, three failed timed recordings. As the original poster stated I can press record whilst a programme is on and it seems to record ok, but it won’t work on timed. Tried factory reset still no joy. Is this purely a Humax issue? Or a full on Freesat one? I have a Humax 1100s.

(Suffice to say I’m going to try the padding thing this morning to see if that works as a quick fix…)

InactiveAdding a 5min padding seemed to work for me this morning on timed recordings.
