Hi I have just joined the forum I am sure there are a few people with the same problem about the box kicking up from standby when still hot I know all the tricks i.e. pull the power wait 5 mins power backup and will power up and also keep the power button down and it will sometimes power up
I have contacted humax support many times they are always helpfull this time they tell me they have asked a few members to trial new software I was wondering if it is working it’s sutch a same this is a great box badly let down with a silly glitch

Have you tried turning off CEC on your TV see if that helps.
(when you put unit into standby it takes approx 1 min 16 seconds to fully shut down)
Thanks for that I will switch off find see what happens I am aware the box does take a bit longer to boot up the hard drive
Be aware that the repeat on the remote control is very fast and operates on the POWER ON/OFF button.
If you hold the button down a fraction too long, you switch the Humax ON … and promptly switch it OFF.
