Just joined the forum.
Seen a lot about remote button (s) not working.
Had this problem several times over the last few years.
I have found that turning OFF @ THE MAINS & leaving it off for 3-5mins cures it. Do not use the remote to standby or off,
do it @ the plug socket switch.
