InactiveHi
I have tried looking for a similar problem but none quite the same.
Box has worked fine for months, but now it won’t always start and I get the No Signal message, if I keep switching on and off it comes on after awhile, usually about 4 minutes,if I’m lucky, then everything is fine.
Also was looking in the System Settings and can’t get anything but power savings, no software update or factory settings, which I’m sure I had on a previous occasion.
confused??

InactiveAre you pulling the mains plug? I’ve had loss of menu options there and a full power down and reboot after 5 mins sorted it. You could then check the firmware version and update if needed.

InactiveYes am pulling plug too, but next time I switch on , the problem is there again.
Sorted system settings and can now access them, as was recording at the time and they don’t show.
But still need advice on the No Signal on switching on .
Be ok if I never switch off.

InactiveSorted by reading a vague post on here. Since last update box is switching on before tv is ready. So now,
Not turning any off at mains but leaving on standby/powersave.
Then when turning on, tv needs to be switched on first and wait for 30 secs, then turn box on.
Works everytime so far.

So will leave post in case anyone searches the same problem. (No Signal)

ModeratorTo avoid any confusion – it is the TV reporting no signal not the Humax box.
What brand/model of TV is it?

I’m betting on a Samsung

InactiveYes it was the tv, was fine before, and have been only having the No Signal for a few weeks. Seems to have changed the way we can switch on. And of course the more we rebooted both the longer it took to start as not realising the tv needs a bit more time.
The tv is a Toshiba 40 HL933.
Certainly has done the trick.
Sorry Gonzo , you lost 😉

ModeratorThere is a firmware update available on the Toshiba website for this model dated 25/03/13. Firmware version number 1.25.02 – Do you know if your TV has updated to this version?
No release note that I can see, so it may not be significant.

InactiveThanks for that, yes would be more helpful if it said what is was for.
Will leave well alone, now I have found a easy way of switching on.
