InactiveI am unable to receive the following channels (indicating no or bad signal), however all the other channels are fine. I have rescanned my box and even completed a factory reset but to no avail. I suspect this all happened when the Olympic extra channels were added but I am not sure
Many thanks
Steve

A HDR ? Distance from a sat is not important at all (within reason).

InactiveJust tried swapping leads and then rescanned box. Finds hundreds of channels but still having the same error in having no or bad signal on the listed channels
Thanks

InactiveExactly the same happened to me – literally minutes after the end of the last Olympic broadcast on the red button. Coincidence? Can’t watch BBC at all due to scrambled picture. Help anyone?

Moderator@lomas – a freesat scan should not be finding hundreds of channels only approx 180
It would appear from the list you provided earlier that it is the vertically polarized channels you are missing.
During factory reset does the unit report 2 cable setup?
No expert but could be LNB at fault.
@sallyann16
Have you tried a factort reset?
August 13, 2012 at 9:31 pm #34739Anonymous
Inactivesorry it is about 180 channels
Factory reset does report 2 cables set up as does diagnostics
I do recall we had a heavy downpour a couple of weeks ago which caused temporary loss of all TV for a few minutes. The box has been on BBC 1 and BBC 3 for the last 2 weeks which are still fine. The satellite dish was already here when we moved in and I suspect is quite old and covered in lots of cobwebs etc.
