InactiveHi,
Went to watch some telly the other day and my hdr1000s was on, but when I turned the TV on there was no HDMI output… I changed the cables, changed the source selection on the tv, even tv back off then on, I then put the freesat into standby and then back on – still no hdmi output. The TV simply said, “no signal.”
– the only thing that would fix it, is taking power cable out the back of the freesat box, and then back in.
all works now
anyone else experienced this? and why?

InactiveI get this , but its when the box has gone into standby.
I’ve tried different leads but it make no difference

I have to do the same and pull the power on the humax box and then it works again.
I have a LG plasma TV

InactiveI’m having a similar problem, but it only happens when the box is recording and I power it on from standby. The box is connected to my Yamaha RX-V667 amp. My TV is getting the signal from the amp.
Whenever it’s not recording it powers on fine.

1080p isn’t always the highest quality setting. All transmissions are 1920 x 1080 interlaced. Either you let the box de-interlace or the TV does it. In most cases there is little difference unless the TV has poor de-interlacing.
Can you actually see a picture improvement by selecting 1080p ?.
If not leave the box on 1080i. Problem is most likely TV is reporting back during the hdcp handshake it can only do 480p.
Check with the TV maker to see if there’s a firmware upgrade fix.
