Hello! I have have been using a Humax DTR-2000 for a few months now, and until recently, it has worked really well and I’m very pleased with its performance and functionality.

However, in the past few days, the fast forward mode has stopped working. I can use the rewind function and the skip function that jumps ahead in one-minute bursts. If I want to set the timer a day or more ahead I have to use the rocker button and whizz through thr guide hour-by-hour until the next day is reached – not very convenient!

I was wondering whether this was a software problem or whether there was anything I can do to fix it please? Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Have you tried a soft reset? Touch the standby button on the front of the box for 8 seconds to trigger a restart.

You could try a Maintenance Mode Reset, if you haven’t already tried it.

Many thanks, but I tried this for another issue and lost all my recordings despite opting to save my recordings!

Annoying, but most of the stuff will come round again.

Haven’t got any more suggestions, I’m afraid, other than to ring YouView Support.

Could be the remote control that needs resetting?

Couchpotato – 6 hours ago  » the fast forward mode has stopped working

Until it gets sorted you could try plugging in a keyboard and using the > key.
