What Humax box are you referring to ? The thread welcome to the forum leaves us guessing as to a myriad of possible boxes over many years.
Model number and platform would help.
Freesat – delivered by a dish ? –
Terrestrial via aerial.
Many more the latest being the Freeview play box the Humax Aura,
Welcome to the forum anyway,
But without this key information, no one can hazard guess to even try and help.

As you have posted a few times in the past week in the Aura forum I presume that this is your Aura you are asking about.
Have you raised this with Humax directly?
I don’t recall anyone mentioning the impact of toggle the guidance on and off in either of the previous posts that I remember brought it up. Humax may find that detail useful.

2. What is the ‘Update Date’ on your unit? – Freeview Play preference, System Information.
