InactiveOk hooked up to my plasma tv with which is 1024x768p I believe.
What do I set the Humax to? there are 3 settings when pressing the v-format button, 576, 720 and 1080i.
Want a setting that suits all so not having to keep changing. Sure is a good upgrade from my old 9200 model. Just got to get to grips with all the things it can do.
Thank you.

ParticipantHi welcome to the forum. Only you can answer the question, it depends on the capability of your TV to rescale to it’s native resolution compared to the HDT FOX T2. Basically try 1080i (the native resolution of HD broadcasts) or 720P. You will probably find it hard to see much difference.

The link above is my tv, I can not see much difference from the 720 & 1080i.
My tv has a setting of “16:9” or “just scan” just looking to what is the best, seem to see more of the picture on just scan.
Thanks for the greeting.

At a guess just scan means overscan is turned off so the resolution is very slightly higher because you aren’t losing pixels off the edge of the screen. You might find that you can see some noise at the edge of the picture on some content. Again best advice is try both for a while. If it helps the BBC transmit a HD testcard during the daytime BBC-HD preview loop. If you record that you can see how much of the 1920 x 1080 pixels you are losing at the edge of the screen using both settings.

InactiveThanks for help.
I believe I can now get rid of my Cyclone media box and just get a 1 or 2TB hard drive to plug in to the Humax, I guess this will do the same job but better.
