ModeratorImportant info:
There is no overnight OTA check with this unit:
1. Users can manually update from menu or
2. Unit checks for new software each time it is placed in standby (if not recording of course)

InactiveWARNING – be careful with this!!
I have just done the software update and now I have no disk space left and cannot record. Prior to the update the system was less than 20% full.

UPDATE
I’ve tried Disk Cleanup and Factory Reset. Both make no difference.
I’ve now formatted the Hard Disk and it seems to have fixed it.

I am going to format the disk now (and lose all my recordings!) and see if it helps.
That dont look too clever.
Before you format have you tried resetting to default settings first?

Yes, I’ve tried that but it didn’t work. Formatting sorted it. (I’ve updated my earlier post to reflect this).

InactiveInitial impressions:
Still black screens and a brief lag when pressing pause;
UI (especially TV Guide) still slow & sluggish.
I’m sure the bug fixes are welcome, but I’m underwhelmed.

InactiveLook forward to testing this but no mention of 4OD and Demand 5 which was supposed to be end of 2012 so I’m a little annoyed they’ve wasted time on adding useless youtube
