Hi,
I have just bought a brand new humax g2 and open switching on
It went straight to program’s not the option where I enter my postcode . I then completed a HDD reset
Where then it gave me the option to enter postcode.
I looked at the recording section and it said 14% already used and showed some
Program’s had been recorded already the first being February 2013 and March
2013.
Is this the case on all new machines or have I been sold a second hand unit?

That is not correct at all, your suspicions are well founded.
As a matter of interest where did you buy it from?

If you bought it on the understanding it was new – not display or customer return, then take it back and demand a new/unused replacement.
A new unit should have protective film covering it as well.
I have telephoned and the same chap who gave me the unit last night
gave me a used unit by mistake and was so sorry .
The shop has promised to deliver a new unit today .
