Barry, can you say any more about that change?

InactiveThanks for this. Do Humax usually try to keep expectations low by stating only one issue as fixed? “Improved” doesn’t say an awful lot if for example my schedule only vanishes 3 times a week instead of 4.

InactiveThe latest software update hasn’t cured the slow response of the box. It still needs multiple key presses on the remote before the box will do anything. I reset the box as per instructions from Humax but I must say this is the worst box they have made.

InactiveThe response is slow, but only requires ONE key press, and a little patience !!

InactiveOne key press is not enough, I had to make 5 just to get my recordings to show up then another 3 to start a recording. This box IS so slow so I’ve ripped it out of my system and am going to sell it. I’ve gone back to my Freetime box, key press on that is instant just as every other piece of kit is instant. Freetime Plus box is useless and I’m a Humax fan who’s had 4 boxes over the years and still have the first Freesat box they made somewhere.

I have a setup that splits the HDMI out and wirelessly sends to another room. I regularly use the remote app (android) to operate the box (used to loose the network but this seems to have been fixed in the last couple of updates)
This is much better response than the ir Remote. I’m not saying its fast but much more usable. I do end up pressing the ir remote several times for a response but not with the app its response is much better.
Try fast forwarding through the adverts at up to 32x with the ir remote you miss the end of the adverts by a long way and have to go back with the app you miss very little.

It might not be the unit, but your remote…..when you press a button see if the power button on the remote illuminates at the same time….

InactiveI have new batteries in the remote and the red light flashes every time I press a key but the unit doesn’t respond most of the time (90%)unless I repeatedly press a key. I have tried my Freesat remote with it too and get the same. The unit is just so slow and unresponsive 90% of the time. I can’t be doing with it so have put my Freetime box back into the main room. I have a Samsung Freeview box too and that is no trouble at all. The Freetime box responds as expected no issues whatsoever. It’s not as if other equipment interferes with it as it’s on it’s own wooden shelf in my racking system well above my Amiga 1000 with plenty of clearance around it

InactiveSoftware version 1.01.57 doesn’t deal with or in my case improve the empty schedule problem either despite the software’s release note suggestion, see my post at

InactiveJust noticed one, to me major, problem with this update.
