InactiveWe have a Freetime HDR-1000 and cannot access the my5 catch-up service on the On Demand screen, we are still seeing Demand 5 only.
The Freesat WEB site http://www.freesat.co.uk/channels shows My5 in the On Demand catch-up services section but we cannot connect to it.
We have the new 3.00.31 firmware, do we need to do anything to see the My5 service as there is a program we want to catch-up on which is not available on the old service.
Much appreciated.

InactiveThe Icons periodically refreh themselves. Try tuning to a BBC HD channel and leaving the unit on for a few hours.

I certainly only have Demand 5.

InactiveFrom what I have read, My5 will be coming to TV apps in the coming months so you may have to be patient.
A number of the players have different content for mobile/PC than the TV app versions, so it’s not a given the programme you want would be available in any event. For example, C4 often has different content for mobile as does ITV hub. Why not access it on your phone/tablet or PC and then ‘cast’ it to your TV?

InactiveThanks for the feedback, not just us then.
We would say that Freesat should not be promoting the My5 on-demand content as being available as it is obviously not.
There is no disclaimer or small print note to say 'coming soon' and to have the My5 logo prominently displayed is misleading.
If we were buying a new box expecting that content we wouldn't be too happy.
We may contact Freesat directly and ask what they are playing at.

InactiveReply from the Freesat Customer Team ….
“Thank you for your email.
The ‘My5’ service is simply a re-brand of the ‘Demand 5’ service. The content will be exactly the same however there may be slight difference in content between the web server and the Freesat server.
This means there may be slightly more content if you were to view ‘Demand 5/ My5’ on the computer or web rather than through the Freesat box.”
So the content is exactly the same but different ….

How about the truth in that the content is nowhere near the same and the program we would like to watch is on my5.tv and not Demand 5.
As the service being offered via Freesat is substantially materially different to the WEB service this should be stated on the Freesat WEB site as such.
Looks like we better go and get the laptop hooked up to the TV then. Now that’s progress, just like the days when iPlayer was WEB only!

InactiveTo be fair, the web service for nearly all the players is different to the TV app versions. It’s often to do with licensing issues. This is not something peculiar to Freesat, I thought this was common knowledge.
