Upon returning from holiday my box had a message on the front panel saying maintenance, I switched on and was given 5 options, during each option the box said Downloading and then said progressing, however on each option attempt, the message came up, SORRY Selected option failed, it is now totally frozen in all modes other than maintenance recovery which unfortunately does not work. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
To be honest it doesn’t sound good. It’s pretty much what happened when my last DTR-T1000 was in its death throes.
You could try unplugging it completely, and also remove the Ethernet connection, then after ten minutes or so reconnect the power (not the Ethernet) and turn it on and see if that unfreezes it.
If not, better contact your retailer (or Humax) for a replacement.
I tried suggestions from James, but unfortunately it did not work, Humax tell you how to reset the box, but do not tell you what to do if it does not work.
