I have just purchased a Humax Box. My TV signal is not great but it is watchable but breaks up frequently due to the area we are in.
As soon as I run the TV through the Humax box the signal is very bad. I can get BBC and ITV on the 800 channels but very few of the freeview channels. Also when I change the frequency for the channels individually they wont lock on, they revert back as soon as I have made a change where there is better reception.
Can anyone help please?

It sounds as though you need to manually tune the box. Somebody will point you at the correct instructions when you tell us which box.
