InactiveHas anyone else experienced lock-ups or freezing with the new FVP-4000T?
I’ve encountered one total system lock-up, the power light was showing power on, but there was nothing displayed on the TV screen and the box did not respond to key presses. I had to power-off at the wall.
It also seems to get stuck when I manually check for software updates. Live TV is still displayed in the background but the box is stuck checking and does not respond to any commands. Again it had to be powered-off at the wall.

ModeratorWelcome to our Forum

What software version does your unit have?
Not experienced any lock ups on 1.00.59, except for the ‘check for software update’ one you mention.

InactiveNo lockups for me so far, but it’s early days. I noticed the “Eye Test” app will crash the box…but I can live without the Eye Test app….

ModeratorI suspect the OP has old firmware which was prone to lock-ups, but until they respond cannot advise further.

InactiveOut of the box it was running an earlier software version, but it upgraded to 1.00.59. I’ve not experiencing it since, so hopefully a one off.

ModeratorThanks for updating us, earlier firmware most likely the cause.

InactiveMy box did the same it to was on the up to date software I did however notice that the box was very hot to the touch so I wonder if it had over heated and that caused it to crash.

InactiveI’m on 1.00.59 and have had one lock up in just under two weeks. It happened when I tried to turn the box on after it had been on Standby all day.

ModeratorThere has been no announcement of an update so why keep checking?
If connected to the internet the unit will probably notify you, with a pop up, when an updated version of software is available.
