We seem to have a problem with the LNB on our dish which in the London area has BBC1.

ITV, BBC1 HD etc. worked fine but BBC1, C4 etc say “No or bad signal”.

Until we get a professional onto the roof, we got round this problem by watching BBC in the regions, C4+1 but today finally attempted to fix the issue using Factory Reset. Now we are stuck at “Searching for the satellite signal”. We know half of the system works but Freesat tune doesn’t work (can’t get past the postcode check – obviously it relies on the LNB we can’t get), Manual tune just gets a whole load of procedroptv type channels.

So we are stuck completely without sat tv until we can get the system to look at the LNB that’s working first of all.

    Any ideas?

Hi welcome to the forum, Using the box in freesat mode requires the box to be able to access a different satellite to where most of the channels come from. Eutelsat28A at 28.5E.

It rather sounds as if you may have got water in the coax cable from your lnb. Important – disconnect the coax at the back of your box and check for the prescence of any water. If it get’s into your box it can do all sort of nasties.

Instead of using the all option in manual tune change the all to a specific transponder to see what you can get.

It’s possible your Foxsat-HD may have developed the well known power supply capacitor failure, if so and it’s out of warranty it’s a very easy job for any one who can use a sodering iron. The bits cost about £4.00 or so.
