Hi, could you kindly help. Should I leave my Humax hb1000s in standby at night or keep switching that and my TV off. As I do now. The reason I ask this question, is because I have a slight problem when turning my TV and box on. I have to fiddle about with a HDMI splitter (I have only one HDMI connector on my Hitachi TV) and keep re-tuning the TV to HDMI and also the remote switching the STB on etc. Does leaving the box on also update etc.?
I certainly leave mine in standby as it uses less than half a watt as should your TV.
I have noticed very occasionally that it has powered up in the night as I see the reflection of the network LED flashing. I presume this is to refresh the EPG and or new software.
