ITV4 on Mendip is giving me a black screen with occasional brief bursts of sound. It looks remarkably like the last problem when Humax issued a fix.
Has anyone else seen it?
Signal strength on C34 is 91%, Quality is 100%. All other C34 programs (ITV1, C4, C5, ITV2, ITV3, E4, Film4 and More 4) are perfect. Neither a power OFF/ON nor a manual tune fixed it.
Here in Lincolnshire (Belmont) too. Yesterday’s Formula E, fine. This morning’s Formula E qualifying, fine. This afternoon’s Formula E race? Nope. Really irritated by this. I think it is the final straw for me. Lost a recording of Astrid In Paris on More4 to what looked like an identical failure and now lost the Formula E.
Oh well. I’ve had it since late 2021, time for a new one I guess…

It’s strange but all is now OK for me at 18:40!
I think it suggest a transmission problem rather than an Aura problem.
It *could* be, but the symptoms are identical to the earlier Film4/More4 issue. Right down to the playing a second of sound with a blank picture. On trying to watch the recording it too had clearly recorded, if I fast forwarded through the recording I could see it, if I called up the thumbnails I could see them but trying to play it (even at 1.5 or 2x speed) resulted in a quick shot of sound, and a blank picture. After attempting to play the recording from any fast forwarded point, the recording jumped back to the first frame, gave a blast of sound then back to a blank picture. As I say, identical symptoms to the Film4/More4 issues. And for me the Film4/More4 issues tended to come and go rather. Usually went when I wasn’t wanting to watch anything but the moment I wanted to see anything (or record anything), poof! Off it went.
From what you have written I take it you were not in when you were recording the Formula E race, if you were in did you check with your TVs own tuner to see if IT$ was operating normally and the issue was with the Aura.
If you still have the recording you may be able to watch it via the VLC app which you can download from the Google Play Store if you haven’t already done so.
The last time the Aura was doing this I recorded film from Film 4 which couldn’t be played on the Auras own media player but did play using the VLC app.
Currently having problems with blank screen on ITV1 SD (Aura only). Earlier Film 4 was also playing up – but us now working. All other channels on D3&4 currently OK.
Problem with ITV1 solved within a couple of hours. Looked like the same old problem. An early fix from D3&4 – but the fault on the Aura that allows this to occur only on Aura (as far as I know) hasn’t been fixed.
