ITV will be carrying some essential and planned for maintenance on their servers which will mean that all ITV Player content (On Demand and Catch-up) will not be available from 23:00 tonight 15th May until the early hours of 16th May.
hopefully the itv player well get a much improved update with the ability to watch soaps etc in hd and better user interface so i hope they take a leaf out of the BBC iplayers book

Thats unlikely to happen until they’ve finished working on the HTML5 version of the player, currently the player launches from channel 903 which is the MHEG version.
I had noticed a couple of weeks back though while catching up on a Corrie episode that the playback quality seems to of been improved slightly.
Still appears to be ‘on maintenance’ at time of posting.

Seemed to be working on HDR1000s before I left for work this morning, but then I only loaded up the main ITVPlayer menu from the ondemand menu, but I didn’t try playing any program’s.
Not working on my 1000s
I get this only
The service was unable to locate the content.
Press BACK to return.
Press EXIT to restart.

Al the other ones like BBC or 4OD plus Five and YouTube are working 100%, this was as well until they ‘fixed’ it!
Working fine on HDR1000s, just as it was this morning the player menu loads up and program’s are playing too.
Earlier the menus would load OK but no streaming of actual programmes.
Must have returned sometime after 15:00 which was last time I checked. All platforms as at post # 4 now streaming OK.
Loading up ok now….
