InactiveHi
First post here – bought the 5000T two weeks ago. All was working fine until today.
I cannot get into iPlayer today. Yesterday it was working fine. I’ve done a factory reset, I’ve rebooted my router, I’ve pulled the plug on the machine. Nothing works.
Can any others users of this machine get onto iPlayer? If so, I may consider getting a replacement as the unit is only two weeks old
Thanks

InactiveWhat exactly do you mean by “can’t get into iPlayer”?
Do you mean that the iPlayer icon is missing from the bottom of the home page?
Is iPlayer available in the ‘players’ section on the top of the home page?
Or do you mean that selecting the iPlayer results in nothing happening?
Either way, try deleting cookies and see what happens.

InactiveHi
When I select the app, it goes to the loading page and just stays there. Does the same thing from the EPG. Worked fine yesterday.

InactiveI’ve just Tried iplayer on my Humax and it wont play, just sits there with the BBC Player logo saying ‘loading’ yet plays OK on my TV

InactiveJaeger – so do you mean on your Humax box it’s doing the same as mine but straight through your TV (I’m guessing it’s a smart TV?) It’s ok?
That suggests a Humax issue?

InactiveYup,Humax BBC iPlayer wont load but will on my Smart TV ~ working OK, So that’s My5 and now iPlayer not working!
(Tried reboot too)

InactiveAnnoying isn’t it! I had an old youview Humax box (the 1010 one I think) that gave up the ghost before Xmas. iPlayer was always shocking on it. Used to lock up all the time. I was enjoying using iPlayer on this new box last night. Thought it was amazing to be able to watch for two hours without any issues. Then this issue this morning! So annoying.
So do we just have to wait for it to be sorted by Humax?
My My5 is also sometimes problematic but is ok today

InactiveIf it’s going to be like the My5 problem Humax wont be Interested (BTW: I’ve tried My5 again today and it part loaded then crashed the box again)

InactiveIf my memory serves me correctly, there has been changes to how iPlayer works fairly recently (Nov/Dec?). App updated on TV but not on box seems a likely possibility unless my memory is letting me down.

InactiveThanks Trev
Was ok last night so I wonder why today is an issue. Box is off now so I will maybe try it again later.
The only thing I did differently this morning was access iPlayer through the EPG. Up until now, I’d always gone through the app, then found the programme. That wouldn’t make a difference would it?
Although now, either way results in that loading screen!

InactiveWorking fine here, from the home app, the players section and the EPG.
Again, I suggest deleting the cookies. If that doesn’t work (make sure you follow the instructions correctly) then I suspect its your internet… That is to say, the connection between your router and the Humax. Do a full reboot of your router and then reconnect the Humax.

InactiveTried that (cookies, router reboot) factory reboot of the box is next I suppose.

InactiveI don’t think it can be my internet as all other internet based apps work on the Humax box. It just seems that iPlayer is acting a bit like My5 does sometimes.
I’ve done a soft factory reset also which made no difference.
Will just leave it now for a couple of days I think.

Obviously my wild guess idea (faulty memory) was a bit duff then. Nothing particularly unusual about that though.
