My HDR-1000s has worked fine for a long ime without problems. Recently ‘on demand’ stopped working. I noticed that software had recently updated to version 3.00.31. Decided to revert to 3.00.20. Update worked ok but ‘on demand’ still didn’t work. Then I read that you should do a factory reset after a software update. I did this (seemed to take longer than usual) and now the installation freezes on the first screen (…’make sure you have connected your satellite dish with 2 cables’…..). I push ok on the remote and nothing happens. remote is definitely working ok and I have tried reloading the software, powering off for an hour or two, etc. but no difference.

Any help gratefully appreciated as unit is now unusable.
