Hello. This is my first posting. I apologise if it’s in the wrong place.

Please can someone explain to me what I should do when I get the message “Conflict of recording”?

I’ve been trying to tape the “Flatpack” programme on tv tonight at 21.00 but I keep getting the same message. It also seems to indicate that I have already set the PVR to record it twice, when in fact I haven’t.

Any help would be warmly welcomed. I’ve searched the Internet and the manual, but cannot find an answer.

    Thank you.

Hi, welcome to our forum. :-)

Can you tell us what model of Humax you have please?

Do you have any other recordings scheduled for overlapping times?

Guessing it’s the BBC messing up the recording CRID codes and that you are using a Freesat box. Basically they most likely have given the same series codes to BBC 2 England, BBC-2 Scotland and BBC 2 Wales but given a different programme CRID to each variant. The box thinks that they are different programmes so attempts to schedule all 3.

I will check next weeks programme.

    Workarounds

    Set a manual recording

    or

If in England delete channels 970 and 971

OP has responded to notification email, by email, and that is exactly the problem described Graham, unit is Foxsat HDR so moved to correct area.

Programme has series CRID but no programme CRID. At least on G2 epg, guessing the Foxsat will be the same.

Even with no other recordings it cannot make 3 at the same time.

    Hi Fenderbender.

Thank you for taking the trouble to reply to my query.

I believe the model is FOXSAT-HDR–that’s what it says on the front of the Humax box and on the instruction manual.

No, I didn’t have any other recordings scheduled for the same time, or just before or after.

The “Conflict of recording” that came up on the screen said that I had already set the machine for the same programme at the same time on two BBC channels in other areas of the U.K., but I hadn’t.

(Sorry this is a late reply–I put it on email, then realised I had to reply on here….)

Graham, we don’t have a separate Freesat box, just the Humax box

Barry, does your comment me that I have posted this query in the wrong place?

If so, please could you tell me where I should post it? Many thanks.

Barry has already moved this thread to the correct please.

The Foxsat-HDR is a freesat unit (first generation).

I have notified the BBC of the issue, hopefully they will sort it out so next weeks programme can be recorded.

When attempting to schedule series recording on BBC 2 HD then three recordings are generated from BBC 2 HD England, Scotland and Wales.

Issue is programme has same series CRID on the 3 channels but no Programme CRID. Next weeks episode is the same.

Not heard back from the BBC yet but just checked next Tuesdays Flat Pack and the BBC have fixed it. They have provided a Programme CRID and unique Series CRID for the 3 channels at least on my HDR-1000S.

Can you try setting a series recording on your Foxsat-HDR on 102 for next Tuesday evening.

    Good news :-)

I imagine I will get an e-mail from the BBC tomorrow saying they have fixed it.

The BBC seem to have issues at the moment see the thread about recordings of the BBC national news getting cut short.
