Hello,
I’ve had this machine some years now, but like the format and it (usually) does what I need it to.
However, the sound on playback intermittently dips out. In an hours programme, I probably lose about 3 mins of sound in 2 or 3 “batches”. Doesn’t Sound much, but so annoying!
Also, when I select “whole series” record, it seems to record the first programme, but now not subsequent ones.
Does this mean that the machine is terminally ill, or is it fixable?

Is your sound problem accompanied by the picture jumping, does this discussion fit your symptoms? As for the ‘whole series’ problem first try doing a ‘Default Settings’ found in the ‘Installation’ section of the menu. You will not lose previous recordings but will lose your recording schedule and any menu settings you have changed.
NOTE: The 9150 and 9300 share the same problems.
