InactiveHi I am new to this forum. Please can anyone help.
My Humax is not responding to the remote. Only mute, exit and volume control work. Have changes batteries. Rugby on this pm need to get it working. When I turn on power have to press exit to get to last channel that was viewed, then not able to change channel or get home page, TV guide etc.
Thanks in anticipation

InactiveThanks but I have tried that and nothing happens.
Really at a loose end as to what to do next. The Humax is not connected to the internet we just connect to a satellite dish.

InactiveTry a factory reset (Note your recording schedule as you will need to re-enter it, Recordings will remain as is).

Inactivehi,
Today I have starting having the exact same issue.
The mute, power and volume buttons seem to work on the remote but the screen is just black and there is no sound or anything.
I have been able to bring it back by switching the power off at the plug and beck on again but it seems to do the same thing after a seemingly random amount of time.

InactiveSame here – for a couple of days now. While watching/listening is fine and then trying to use the remote all buttons other than volume, mute and power do not work. Also the program change buttons on the box do not work. Only solution has been to switch off at the mains (not the box), wait a bit and then switch on. It is happening 2 or 3 times a day. Software is version UKSFAA 2.02.07 dated 4 Nov 2014 and no updates found. I have emailed humax-digital support about it so maybe that will help. Any other ideas?

InactiveHi
I have also started getting same fault. Could just take it back to Currys for a replacement under warranty, but would new one be the same? It has been fine for 6 months, till last week.

ModeratorThis is strange so many reporting the issue in a couple of Days.
Question: Does it lock up immediately after booting or after being left on a channel for a while.. if latter which channel.

InactiveDoesn’t do it right away for me. I don’t even realise it’s happened until I want to change channel.
Pressing the power button will switch it off but switching it back on just gives a black screen.
There doesn’t seem to be any particular channel it does it on but it’s mainly cbeebies on these days (channel 601)

InactiveDoesn’t do it with me till tele has been on for a while. Any channel, or playback, has same fault. Only way to cure it, is to turn off at mains, then back on again. No warning it is happening till I press button to do something.
I was going to take it back for exchange, but thought I would see if there was a ‘fix’ first.

InactiveModel – HDR 1000S/1010S
Software – UKSFAA 2.02.07
Update Date – 04/11/2014
My remote is also playing up as of yesterday.
As per Wendymac’s post, l too have no internet connection so can it/does it load updates via the satellite dish,
or does this have to be done via an internet connection?
Barry, further back in the post you gave a link on how to re-program the remote control modes.
Mine is set as mode 1 at the moment so what are the other 5?
At the moment, the only way to solve it is to power it off and on!!!!

ModeratorYou have the latest released software.
Remote recoding – users can set 1 of 6 to avoid conflicting with another Humax freesat, youview, or T2 product, if you have one, in the same vicinity.
