Hi everyone I’m posting from Australia

I have a Humax HDR-7500T operating via a Projector.

i use it to watch all my free to air TV on

I noticed the “standy by light” on the front panel was on last night ( as normal) .

I hit the power button on the remote but the stand by light would not change colour and the machine wouldn’t power up.

I turned the on / off switch on and off (at the rear of the machine) ……….the standby light would not ligt up. (bloody hell)

After a minute or so i got

– a Humax logo come up on the screen with “VerA7.81 ” showing

– then the screen went green and vanished after about 10 seconds

If anyone could provide some guidance i would be so grateful as i am really hopeless at diagnosing such issues as i am not at all good with electronic gear (i MENA BAD HOPELESS)

My queries are IF I may

– how do i get the Humax HDR to work / wake up

– what could have caused it to stop working

– can it be fixed if its broken

– does the stand by light mean it is dead?? ( so to speak)

– are there any alternatives on the market to let me watch free to air TV ( i suppose i just buy a new Humax 7500 as i am very happy with its performance to date )
