I have this old unit purely as a bedroom setup, I’m in a Freeview light area. The remote has stopped working, its the second remote I purchased because the first one stopped working a few years ago as well.

I decided to buy a 3rd party remote, because I didn’t want to pay another £20 for the Humax one yet again.

The problem I’m having is my Humax box is in remote mode 2, and reviews of the remote I’ve purchased say it’s setup to only work in remote mode 1 and this new remote doesn’t work when holding 0 and OK at the same time.

Is there anyway a can factory reset the box without a remote?
