I would like to register that my Humax freesat recorder no longer records. It is just. 4 yrs old.
I purchased a new hard drive and installed it to no avail.
Humax offered to exchange my box for a refurbished one if I paid £55 delivery charge. The catch being only in the Uk. Other than that purchase a new box which I have done so.i hope the fix is sorted.
Can you confirm if the unit is a HB-1000S or a HDR-1000S?
Also is the problem that it no longer sees the hard drive?
There is a known problem with some units (newer than yours) due to a hardware component failure and it sounds like support’s offer of an exchange is the standard offer for that problem.
