I have read some old posts about remote control failure. I have discovered that the remote control for 9300T in our holiday let house is not working. Changed batteries & checked for being good but nothing happens. It was working back earlier 2016 so probably not a recent software issue. I can’t go into installation on PVR because I can’t enter password without remote. Is there anything else I can check or is it a new remote required. As far as I can tell the PVR itself is working
You can check that a remote is sending out a signal by pointing it at a digital camera (or phone/tablet camera), as it will see the Infra Red.
You may find that it’s just some buttons that aren’t working. It may be fixable by dismantling and cleaning, but probably your best option is a compatible remote, or a used original from ebay – just search for “Humax 9300 remote”. There’s a few around £12.
