    Hi guys (again).

Sorry But I’m posting here as I have only just found where to post a new thread Doh!!! :D

I posted on a previous thread of mine as was in a mucking fuddle about where to post

I can’t believe I’m getting too old lol

    Anyway, here’s a copy & past of it…….

    Hi again guys.

I’m posting a new question here as I got told off for posting wrongly last time and could not understand/find where to post a new thread? 😯

So….. been using my 1100s ok for a while now, but just recently I found when starting up the TV I have to stop & start the 1100s again before my LG TV will pick it up.

It didn’t do this before. It just picked it up when I turned on the TV (once I had identified the correct HDMI of course)

It still takes forever to get going, but that’s another story.

    Regards

    Bob

You have posted this in the wrong forum section, perhaps admin can move it to the correct area.

    Admin edit: Thank you, moved.

    Suggestions:

    1. Check that the HDMI cable is correctly seated at both ends.

    2. Try another HDMI port on the TV.

sorry to be a pain guys (this forum isn’t the easiest to use is it).

Anyway I cannot find a post where I had problems with my Humax 11ooS

and John L kindly gave me a few options to get it working again (are you there John? :D)

I tried the first two options, a soft reset and unplugging the power etc for over 5 mins.

    still no go :(

the finel suggestion was to “Go into the menu for a factory reset etc.

    So my question is………..

how do I get into the menu if I can’t get it working, please?

Suggest you try bring the HDR-1100S out of standby AFTER the TV has fully started.

Turn on the TV, wait until it shows a programme, then turn on the HDR-1100S. Smartish TV’s take longer to boot and may not be ready when the HDR-1100S signals it .

You do normally keep your HDR-1100S in standby when not being used?

    Thanks.

Yes, I do keep it on Standby, but that was another issue…

I’d turn my LG Oled on selecting the HDMI for the Humax. Then had to turn it off & on through the remote to get “Freesat ” to show and play the programs.

I don’t know if there is something wrong with the box?

It’s been a right old pain.

    Hope this makes sense?

Try turning the TV on and without selecting the Humax HDMI port, when the TV is fully on start the Humax.

    that’s what I do.

Turn the TV on then that’s when I have to turn off & on again the Humax, before the slow start-up procedure. It’s OK then until next time I want to turn it all on. :|

Hope you can decipher that? :-)

Your reply is a little ambiguous, you omit when you brought the Humax out of standby and also if the off and on is a standby off and on or a power off and on. The comment on the slow start implies the latter to me.

sorry, I’m getting brain fog :D

    I’ll TRY AGAIN….

I’ve been using it in stand-by and when I TURNED THE tv on the Freesat sign used to show strait way for me to open it. great!!

    Then suddenly that didn’t happen…..

Turn TV on, no Freesat sign > turn off then on again, then Freesat signs and slowly came alive.

    Hope that makes sense?

Your first sentence implies that either the Humax was on before you used to turn the TV on OR the TV is displaying a Freesat indication (perhaps the TV has a name assigned to the HDMI port).

The second sentence does not clarify if “turn off then on again” is a power or standby cycle NOR when you first turned on the Humax.
