My Humax 1800T will not accept a future recording (single programme or series link) instruction. When I press OK to book the recording no record symbol appears alongside the programme title. The HDD is not full and there are no conflicting recordings. I have tried restoring to factory settings and reformating the HDD. This is a problem that has just arisen on a machine that was previously working perfectly. Can anybody help?

Try switching it off at the mains plug for a about a couple of minutes then reconnect it again that sometimes works with this problem.
If don’t work first time leave it completely unplugged over night.
Thanks very much Bill 63. I have tried turning it off and unplugging it but I will now try leaving it unplugged overnight.
