hi guys, do humax do software for the hdr1100s that allows you to set recordings etc. from a windows pc or does it only allow you to do so from a phone?
Mine can be programmed from my iPad Pro….
It is freesat software – an app that lets you see the EPG and, if paired, will let you set remote recordings but will also wake your unit every 20 mins or so to check for recording updates.

The point is that unless you happen to be away from home for more than 7 days, then anything that is within the current epg reach is much better to simply schedule first especially as series recordings have the 8th day reach. Otherwise your box will reboot- approx 3 times per hour to check for schedule changes, That’s a rather large stress on the HDD.
The G2 boxes really need a setting to delay checking for schedule changes a lot more than 20 mins in the future.
