    The HDD spins up for a while then down while the box is on standby.

    I’m just wondering if this is normal behavior? Seems to be fairly regular occurrence about an hour apart or so.

    Also if there is a way to limit this behaviour?

    If paired with the freesat app it will power-up about every 20 mins or so.

    My HB-1000S also powers-up very infrequently – I guess to refresh the EPG or to check for updates.

    Might be why then as it is a fairly recent thing and I did pair it with the app recently!

    I’ll try unpairing and see what happens, thanks

    Update:SOLVED

    This appears to have stopped so must have been to do with being paired to the Freesat App

    Thanks REPASSAC for pointing me in the right direction :)
