I have just bought a certified reconditioned Humax HDR 2000t from Amazon.

It set up fine and BBC seems to be fine. However, the picture on all other channels freezes just for a split second at a time, but this happens multiple times a minute so is very annoying. The sound remains uninterrupted.

Is this something to do with the signal?

Is there something I can do to fix it or should I send it back as I have only just received it?

    Thanks for your help.

    Welcome to our Forum :-)

Are you sure you are only tuned to one transmitter?

I think so. ITV channels and channel 4 and 5 are the worst affected. ITV 1 HD and Channel 4 HD are ok.

ITV SD channels, 4 and 5 are transmitted on the same multiplex, HD versions are transmitted on a different multiplex.

I suspect that your unit has picked up the ITV etc multiplex from a different transmitter.

Suggest you delete all channels and carry out a manual tune.

The following link gives the basic idea for SD recorders, but it is much the same for your unit. You will find Edit channels in Menu, Settings….

Which transmitter are you tuned to and are there any other transmitters close by?

A better link is Link to manual tuning FAQ which includes the vital information about changing the Transmission type between DVB-T and DVB-T2.
