I suspect it is possible, but not practical.
The HDR-FOX T2 has similar architecture. By building on what a number of people have already achieved (and written) a method has been documented for the HDR-FOX t2. To attempt do the same on the HDR-2000T would require significant effort.
See the following link for the HDR-FOX T2 process. But note that as it relies on a significant amount of pre-work (referred to as ‘custom firmware’ and some of its packages) this is not a practical solution unless someone first develops ‘custom firmware’ for the HDR-2000T.
