Hello there, my Freesat box will not boot, no lights on the front. SPDIF socket illuminates briefly when plugged in. Tried a different hard drive to no avail. Any thoughts ?
Mine did that and I sent it off for repair. Seems to be a common fault reading threads. Mine lasted for 3 years others much sooner. Digital Repair place in Ireland fixed it.
Not a common problem for a HB unit, more common for HDR units manufactured for a period (not early or late units). HB units do not have the sata interface but a USB connection.
If your unit is really a cheaper HB unit then I would think it is not worth repairing.
So how can it be fixed? As mine is now doing it
