My HDR-1010S recently started resetting all the time. How long there is between resets varies a lot – sometimes it resets every minute or so, and then it will work properly for half an hour. I tried a resetting to factory defaults and it didn’t help. Does anyone know what might be causing it, and what I can do about it? The software hasn’t been updated for 2 years so it’s unlikely to be that. It could be a hardware failure. Another possibility is that it’s been caused by my 1 year old baby, who has been pulling at the plugs in that area recently.
