I have bought a Humax HDR 1000S 500gb, I follow the instruction for set up, the box display says installation wizard but nothing appears on the screen. I have tried linking to TV with both the HDMI cable supplied and the old scar lead which worked perfectly with the Bush Freesat box I am upgrading. I previously bought the same Humax model but had to return it as it kept freezing, however I don’t remember any problems on set up. Is there anything I can try or do I have to take the second one back?
Have you tried changing the source on the TV?
Hi, Thanks have found out how to do this and have now set it up and it is working. I’m so glad I asked before I took it back to the shop, I would have looked a bit silly! However it doesn’t say to check the source in the quick set-up guide and I don’t remember having to do this before, it just came on automatically. Perhaps Humax should write their guides for complete technophobes like me!
