Just started happening after previous faltless operation.
BBC iPlayer aspect ratio is all wrong despite all the TV and Humax settings being set correctly. Displays somewhere in between 4:3 and 16:9 but the aspect ratio is weird and unwatchable.
Any one else noticed this?
I have a Gigabyte Ethernet connection and no bottle-necks in network speed.

We wanted to watch How We Built Britain with David Dimbleby. It was a BBC 2 programme but the iPlayer version doesn’t seem to display correctly on my HDR-1000S or on another set-up via a Humax HD Box.
When I look at the same program using iPlayer on my pc it plays on 1920 X 1080P monitor just fine.

Oh I see. Yes it’s the same on mine.
Not too sure if its correct or not, but from what i can see online How We Built Britain has an Aspect Ratio of 4:3 – 1.33:1 so what your seeing is possibly the correct format.
There’s one way to know for sure which is to watch or record Mondays episode on BBC2HD which youll then see if its in the correct ratio or not.
It plays ok in widescreen on my pc so I imagine it should on my Humax boxes.
Ah well, it’s not that big a deal just thought it odd as I have not come across it before.

The same thing has started happening on my Sky box so it must be the BBC end that’s wrong. A number of programmes now play as 4:3.
Thanks for that info mariner. BBC will hopefully get their act together on it eventually.
Now if it was the ITV iPlayer ………….? Well!
