I have HDMI connection to Samsung TV. On the TV I have Anynet (HDMI CEC) set to OFF and on the 4000T I have HDMI CEC set to off.

When I power on the TV, the 4000T also powers up even though I don’t want it to (as I have lots of other devices connected to the TV). If I power the TV off, the 4000T stays on.

Any ideas how to stop the 4000T auto powering up please when I turn the TV on ? Thanks

I don’t have a 4000T, but pretty sure I read the latest firmware has the option in the menus to turn off CEC.

Even with the new firmware HDMI option the FVP can be a pain.

My FVP would kill the TV ARC and the PS4 HDMI-CEC.

I powered everything off and disconnected all HDMI, then started fresh. Turn TV on turn HDMI off and then ON (I have to have it on for ARC to work with amp!)

Then connected devices except for FVP then turned HDMI on and performed search. Then connected FVP and make sure you do not do another HDMI-CEC refresh.

Now all fine but obviously no CEC function for the FVP.

    Hope this may help.

(Samsung TV is not perfect either, it would remember the HDMI I used to have the FVP directly connected to until I did this as well and would switch to it when the FVP was powered even though the FVP was now connected via an AV amp.!)

On this occasion, I suspect it is the TV (Samsung 4K 2015 model) at fault rather than the 4000 as it is the powering up of the TV that activates the 4000 (but not every time !!) rather than the other way round.

I’ve now moved the 4000 to a different HDMI port on the TV and will see what happens.
