My HDR had been working perfectly following the excellent advice on how to fix hard disk errors earlier this year until yesterday when I found it would neither record nor playback.
Visiting the IP address confirms correct installation of custom firmware, but reports a disk problem.
Fix disk in the Maintenance menu cannot find the disk.
Can I recover it or should I give up and lose recordings I thought I could keep?
Sorry for late reply – I’ve only just seen the post. I had the same problem a few months ago – I tried everything, but eventually I had to say goodbye to all my recorded programmes. However, installing a new hard drive turned out to be easy, so I didn’t have to ditch the Hummy.
