For freesat advice on this error
I wonder if any of you can help.
Had my box now a couple of years with very little issues. However, recently, when watching the TV upstairs, the screen is fine when I first switch it on and the the box goes black and with the message ‘ HDCP not valid. AV blocked.
You can hear the sound but there is no picture. If I switch the box off and then on again the picture comes back but then disappears again after a few seconds.
If I switch the box off at the wall it appears to fix it, but by tomorrow the problem appears again.
I’ve recently updated my software to the new trial version UKSFAA 3.00.11. Not sure if this has anything to do with it but the problem appeared to occur post the software update.
Any ideas how to fix?

InactiveExactly the same problem. Ok when used last night then today had the ‘HDCP is not valid. Av blocked.’ message. Maybe something to do with new software installed last night? The TV is a Panasonic TX 32LXD52. Help please!

ModeratorWelcome to our Forum

I am getting updates on this continually from freesat.
It was expected that some older TV’s might have an issue but not more modern ones.
I’ll Private Message you in a moment.
In the meantime users who are having issue could try changing their HDMI cables.

Welcome to our Forum

Problem with that is it will update to 3.00.18 again if you leave LAN connected.
Check your Private Messages in a mo, and can you post your make/model of TV please.

InactiveWe have the same problem, everything was OK when I switched off last night. I wasn’t here when my husband switched on tonight so I don’t know what he did. When I try to use the freesat box HDR-11005 we get the message HDCP not available. AV blocked. The box is only a month old and the Samsung T.V less than a year old.WHAT DO I DO TO GET MY SATALLITE TV BACK.

InactiveI found that by using the HDMI link rather than SCART the problem was resolved.
