InactiveHello all
I’m looking to replace my FoxSat as iPlayer changes versions.
I want to archive my favourites as I do with FoxSat but most new models don’t allow this.
I’m looking at the HB-1000S (a which? best buy) but Humax sales say it only records to certain external hard drives (they can’t say which).
Do you know about this and if so which H/Ds?
many thanks, joe

InactiveI have a WD WD10JUCT in a USB unpowered caddy (it’s a low power AV/CE drive so should be perfect)- I would suggest a unpowered caddy as you don’t have to remember to turn it off.

InactiveThanks- I have an appropriate drive but as I can’t play back programs on my PC it seems the old FoxSat is still my best option despite iPlayer ending,

Get a cheap box like the Now TV box (you don’t need to pay a subscription for the free catch up services, though you get 2 months of Sky Movies thrown in). You also get the other ones missing from the Foxsat.
The latest version of iplayer has much better pictures especially iplayer HD.

No not Freetime it’s a android type box that has the major catch up apps. Plugs into a hdmi socket on your TV and connects to your network by wireless.
