InactiveHi All
Anyone else had a problem with the audio dropping out on their H2000T?
Its not my unit, although i do have one but moved over to the SAT 1100.
This is with HDMI connection, last time it happened they had to power off the Humax to get audio back, i think it just randomly drops for no reason.
Then other problems also where the only way they could get audio back was to factory reset it and also it became unresponsive from the remote in that it wouldn’t always turn on from standby.
Not sure what order that all happened in.
I said to try a factory reset and format the drive if it happens again.
Does the O/S end up on the HD with these, i can’t remember…
The TV has been ruled out as they have other receivers, like a youview box. Sounds like its just started happening after 4 years of average use.
Cheers

Operating System is in NVRAM so not affected by hard disk format.

InactiveCheers Graham, sounds like a bug then maybe. Strange that its only started to do it after 4 years, probably same TV for 3 of those years.
Thinking about it mine has dropped audio from time to time but i thought it was my TV playing up as its needs some TLC being probably at least 7/8 years old. Bit of a PSU recap i think..
I thought power cycling the TV got that working again though from memory.
Not had any problem with audio with the HDR1100 so far, same TV.

If you have added other HDMI devices to your TV then that would increase the risk of experiencing the audio issue.
Have you connected other devises to your TV?
And have you connected any of these recently?

InactiveWelcome to the club where we have great fun rebooting our 2000Ts to get it to output sound
Its not the fastest thing to reboot and those wasted seconds are just boring or even embarrassing.Mine doesnt drop out in mid use to be fair and its just when powering it up the first time it wont recognise sound and or the hard drive functions. Sometimes its fine and about half the time its not without having to reboot it at least once.
