I am trying to record gigs channel 284. They seem to be on the recorder successfully but won’t play.
I’m using a phone hotspot as the house in question doesnt have a router.
Coujd it be a video setting, or something else

You can only record content that is delivered via the TV aerial. Streamed content comes via the Internet.

What about freely ? Can you record that to watch later ? Or is it all catch up ?

As I understand it Freely is mainly internet delivery for live and catch-up. The broadcasters don’t want you to be able to record such channels. It is unlikely that any recorder will be able to do that. However, there are reports of a sighting of a new Humax that might – https://myhumax.org/forum/topic/aura-replacement#post-104635 – but probably won’t.
