InactiveCan I start by saying I am not all that litterate when it comes to wifi!
Ihave connected the Humax dongle (Tried both front and rear usb ports) and followed instructions . My network is detected and I am using the security and password that I use for other devices (wii and two computers)which always work fine but the PVR will not connect. Can anyone suggest what I am doing wrong. My Router is a Netgear DG843G v5
Thanks
Colin

Does your password contain any characters other than alphabetic characters and numbers? There have been some reports of password problems when using some other characters in the password.

ModeratorWelcome to our Forum

In addition to what Martin has advised, is your password upper and lower case, if so it has to be exactly the same.

Inactiveall lower case

InactiveMagic!
I must have tried 5 or6 times to get it to work without success but after talking here about passwords I thought I’d try again and be extra careful about entering the password …it worked! …who knows if I entered it wrong before …I do reverse characters some times without noticing.
Thanks for being here.
Now all I have to deal with are bandwidth problems …not so simple

InactiveJust spent a frustrating 3 days trying to get my new HDR-1000S with Humax Dongle to log in to my WiFi network on BTHomeHub2. I tried everything on the forum without success but 4th call to Humax resolved it.
1. Place Dongle in the front USB port.
2. “Password” to be used is the Wireless Key to be found on rear of HomeHub.

InactiveThe only difference that the front USB port on the Humax should make is that it may have a more reliable wifi signal depending on the position of the HomeHub.
