Following the machine shutting down of it’s own accord, it now refuses to turn on.

Switching back from a youtube video to the youtube menu the button went to pause instead and upon pressing it again it shut the machine down. The button causing it to pause instead of returning to menu has happened for about 3 days but not shut down before. When plugged in again the hard drive is spinning but nothing else happens – blank screen. Is the machine dead?

Thanks in advance for all help.

Have you tried disconnecting power from the box for a short time and then reconnecting it? That solves some problems with the 5000T.

    Thanks for response.

Yes. many times. Power in as hard drive spins but nothing else, neither from button or remote. I’ve even replaced the thermal paste on the chip in case it was getting hot.
