InactiveI’ve noticed recently that my Foxsat no longer shows the Channel name on recordings. For example if I recorded BBC1-HD, the programme in the media list would show up as CH106 instead of 106 BBC1-HD.
It’s rather annoying me now and even a factory reset hasn’t fixed it.
Anyone got any clues?

Very strange – recording names are fine on mine with same software. Do you let housekeeping run every night ?

InactiveI notice this happening occasionally on an active recording but it sorts itself out when the recording completes.

ParticipantClutching at straws, if you export a file to usb what is the filename of the .ts file ? Do you have the Custom Firmware installed which has more sophisticated hard disk linux based disk operating system check and repair options built in ?

I installed the custom firmware and ran the fixdisk utility. After wards the foxsat wouldn’t let me go on until I had formatted the disk so I lost all the recordings.
Luckily its only a secondary machine so nothing too essential lost, but after recording MOTD last night it still only shows the recording as CH 106. 🙄

InactiveI suggest you try a freesat tune.
Check the signal on (from memory) channel 999 which needs good quality before you do the tune.

InactiveDone a Freesat retune and things are sort of working again. Getting proper channel names on some recordings, but others are still showing only the channel number.
All a bit odd, but will just see how it goes. Thanks for the suggestions.
