No. You might get a ‘No or Bad Signal’ message if there is a problem with the dish, or ‘The channel is scrambled or not available.’ if there is a problem with a particular channel.

Is your dish and cabling in good condition and correctly connected to the HDR ?
What cable mode do you have ? (two cable, one cable with loop or one cable)
Did the freesat detection determine the correct cable mode ?
Did the post code entry work ?
How many channels were found ?
Is disk full ?
What do you do to initiate a recording and what error do you get ?
Can you pause and then rewind and forward live TV as expected ?
Are signal strength and quality values stable and in the green ranges on affected transponders ?
