Hi
I have been copying files to an ext3 formatted external drive for some time without issue but today i am unable to copy, i see error: “Failed to copy file(s)”
The drive is not full, anyone have ideas?

thanks for the quick response, i am trying to sort this before a w/e break!
the files are SD and HD, not copied previously (they dont have a cross next to them)
I reseated the drive and restarted the box this allowed me to copy one program but now I am in the same situation again
Hard to know what to do next unless you install the Custom Firmware. This should let you copy the files directly to a PC (any FS supported on the PC- eg NTFS).
that sounds good, do you have the location of the firmware?
i think i will also need installation instructions and guidance on copying files directly (i have a readyNAS if that helps)

Everything you need is here.
The basic setup details are in the download. The detailed ones for the multiple options are in the documentation you get when the full interface is downloaded on first log on to the local IPaddress of the box using the browser of your choice.
